Every spring we meet the same bikes: varnished carbs and injectors from unstabilized fuel, dead batteries, rusted chains, flat-spotted tires, and mice in the airbox. All of it preventable for a fraction of what the repairs cost. Proper fall layup is the cheapest insurance in motorcycling.
Both ends are mobile visits: we winterize the bike where it sleeps, and in spring we wake it up, safety-check it, and have you riding the first warm weekend — while everyone else is waiting three weeks for a dealership slot.

I forgot to winterize and now it won't start. Ruined?
Usually not ruined — usually varnished fuel and a dead battery. That's a standard spring mobile call for us: fresh fuel, cleaning, battery, and a carb/injector service if needed. Worst case, we quote it honestly.
Is a battery tender really necessary?
Yes. A motorcycle battery self-discharges and sulfates over a winter; a $40 maintainer doubles or triples battery life. We'll install a fused pigtail so plugging in takes five seconds.
Should I change oil before or after storage?
Before. Used oil holds combustion acids that etch bearings while the bike sits. Fresh oil in November protects all winter — and you're ready to ride in March without another service.
